MOSCOW. Russia may start developing its budget strategy for at least 12 years every six years, according to a procedure for developing and endorsing the country’s budget strategy prepared by the Finance Ministry. The draft of a corresponding government resolution has been posted on the single website for information disclosure on draft enactments prepared by federal executive bodies and on the results of their public discussions.

SURGUT. In the first eight months of 2013, oil and gas company Surgutneftegas produced 40.89mn metric tons (300.5mn bbl) of oil. Output from its fields in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) amounted to 4.775mn tons (35.1mn bbl), up 11.6% from the same period of last year. The company’s natural gas output in January-August 2013 equalled 8.084 bcm (285.37 bcf). Well drilling in the reporting period exceeded 3.521 metres of rock, with exploration drilling totalling ,140,000 metres.
