MOSCOW. President Vladimir Putin said he expects the government to report on the deadlines, the sources and the size of funding for a project to improve railway infrastructure to Vnukovo Airport and Moscow’s new areas by November 1. These issues are to be coordinated with the Moscow and Moscow Region authorities and Russian Railways. The instruction says that the development of transport infrastructure in the region should focus on commuter traffic.

MOSCOW. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a resolution approving a list of stock market services to be exempt from value added tax (VAT). The document has been posted on the government website. The resolution lists licensed services offered by securities depositories, dealers, brokers, companies managing investment, mutual funds and non-state pension funds, clearing companies and other financial market operators that will be exempt from VAT.
