| MOSCOW. Vostochny Basis, 25% owned by Russia's Polymetal International, has won an exploration and production licence for the Tarutinsky area, Polymetal said in a statement.
The 1.8 sq km licence area is located 28 km outside the town of Chesma in the Chelyabinsk Region and 150 km from the Varvarinskoye copper and gold deposit in Kazakhstan, also developed by Polymetal. A railway station is 20 km away.
Vostochny Basis will pay RUR15nm or $500,000 for the licence and has pledged to complete no less than 11,000 m of exploration drilling during the first four years after the licence is issued. |
| MOSCOW. A subsidiary of Bank Uralsib has acquired 5.03% of shares of the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port for $117mn, Vedomosti daily reported, citing sources close to the bank and the port.
On September 11, 12.93mn of the port’s global depository receipts were sold as a single lot on the LSE at $9.05 per share, which puts the lot’s value at $117mn, a 15% premium to the market, Vedomosti wrote citing an LSE report. |
