MOSCOW. In July 2013, revenues of the Russian federal budget totalled RUR1.071316tn ($32.44bn) and spending RUR1.2025221tn ($36.47bn), reported the Finance Ministry. The budget deficit thus amounted to RUR131.2061bn ($3.98mn), or 2.3% of GDP. Primary deficit totalled RUR105.7912bn, or 1.8% of GDP.

MOSCOW. The board of directors of EuroChem, a Russian producer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potash fertilizer, has approved a $1.3bn loan deal to be signed with a foreign bank consortium. In earlier reports EuroChem announced plans to build a $1.5bn ammonia and urea plant in the US state of Louisiana. The company also plans to build a fertiliser production facility in China's southern Yunnan province together with Migao Corporation. The joint venture is expected to produce 60,000 metric tons of potassium nitrate and 200,000 tons of chlorine-free NPK fertilisers a year.
