MOSCOW. By 2020, the Russian government will provide RUR135.6bn ($4.1bn, or €3.1bn) to finance the Skolkovo Foundation which manages the Skolkovo research and technology innovation centre outside Moscow, Deputy Economics Minister Oleg Fomichyov told the media.
Although it is planned to gradually replace government funding of the project with private investment, Skolkovo will receive a huge support package from the government before 2020 as part of a special new subprogramme under the existing Economic Development and Innovative Economy programme, he said. |
