MOSCOW. The world's biggest potash producer, Uralkali, plans to boost production to 13mn metric tons in 2014 from this year’s target of 10.5mn tons, CEO Vladislav Baumgertner told reporters during a conference call. The company earlier said it was exiting its venture with Belaruskali and switching exports to its own unit from their joint trader, Belarusian Potash Co.

MOSCOW. Russia’s biggest oil producer, Rosneft, reported an 18% increase in IFRS net profit on Monday, to RUR137bn ($4.2bn, or €3.14bn) from RR116bn in the same period of last year. Its revenues grew 34% to RUR1.988tn mainly due to the expansion of the company’s operations. In the second quarter, the company’s IFRS profit amounted to RUR35bn ($1.06bn) compared to RUR8bn loss the year before and profit of RUR135bn in the first quarter of this year, Rosneft said. EBITDA grew to RUR215bn from RUR156bn in the first quarter. In January-June, EBITDA rose 36.4% to RUR371bn.
