MOSCOW. The government may freeze the wages of civil servants, the military, judges and prosecutors in 2014, Deputy Finance Minister Tatyana Nesterenko told journalists on Tuesday.
“The main economic goal is to restrain spending,” she said. “In this respect, it has been decided to freeze natural monopolies’ rates and not to index wages of civil servants, the military, judges and prosecutors whose wages are set exclusively by the government and presidential decrees.” |
