MOSCOW. Alliance Group is in talks to sell oil assets to Russia's state-run producer Rosneft, business daily Vedomosti reported, citing two federal officials and sources close to Alliance Oil executives.
An agreement has already been reached, one of the sources said. Rosneft is acquiring a stake in Alliance Oil Co., Khabarovsk Oil Refinery and part of Alliance's joint venture with Slovenia's Petrol. At the same time, Alliance’s share in the joint venture with Shell will go to Gazprom.
Alliance Oil Company Ltd was incorporated in Bermuda and has vertically integrated operations in Russia and Kazakhstan. Its oil assets are estimated at around $7.6bn, excluding a $2bn debt resulting from a VEB loan issued to Khabarovsk Oil Refinery in 2009. |
