MOSCOW. Aki-Otyr, an upstream subsidiary of midsized crude producer RussNeft, has completed the construction of a section of the gas pipeline at the Lower Shapshinskoye field. The project was implemented as part of a programme for efficient use of associated petroleum gas. The new pipeline will supply gas from the Shapshinskoye group of fields to the compressor station of Yugra Gas Processing (UGP).

MOSCOW. In the first six months of 2013, Polyus Gold Int, the largest gold producer in Russia and one of the top 10 gold miners globally by ounces produced, increased gold production 7% compared to the same period of last year, to ,718,300 ounces or 22.342 metric tons, the company said. In the second quarter, Polyus Gold produced ,397,800 ounces of gold, up 8% from a year before. In the first six months of the year, the company sold ,654,000 oz as opposed to ,686,000 in January-June 2012. Its gold sale revenues are expected to be 19% smaller this year, $987mn considering the average gold price fell 9% to $1,510 per ounce.
