MOSCOW. Aggregate power generation by RusHydro’s power plants, its subsidiaries and the Boguchanskaya hydropower plant amounted to 34.630bn kWh in the three months to end-June, up 17% from the same period of last year. Power generation in the first six months grew 16% to 66.633bn kWh. The RusHydro group’s hydropower plants and Boguchanskaya increased power generation in April-June 23% to 28.005bn kWh; their generation in the first six months grew 25% to 50.303bn kWh.

TOGLIATTI. Russia’s largest automaker, AvtoVAZ, reported RUR3.7bn ($114.4mn, or €86.6mn) in losses in the first half of 2013, or eight times more than in the same period of last year. The company said in a report to Russian Accounting Standards that its revenues shrank 3.8% to RUR81.4bn and gross profit plunged 42% to RUR4.760bn. AvtoVAZ reported sales loss of RUR1.928bn versus a profit of RUR1.212bn the year before.
