MOSCOW. In August 2013, Russia exported 3.2mn metric tons of grain, Vladimir Petrichenko, CEO of the ProZerno grain market analyst, told the Interfax news agency, quoting information of the Federal Customs Service.
Grain exports totalled 3.1mn metric tons on August 1 to 28, of which wheat accounted for 2.7mn metric tons, barley for 367,000 metric tons, rye for 3,000 metric tons and corn for 15,000 metric tons.
“It will definitely be 3.2mn metric tons for the entire month, as about 80,000 metric tons of wheat and 20,000 to 30,000 metric tons of barley must have been exported in the remaining days,” Petrichenko said.
In July, exports of grain and pulses totalled 2.55mn metric tons, of which wheat accounted for 2.34mn metric tons and barley for 444,000 metric tons. |
