MOSCOW. Associate oil gas disposal by its reinjection will start at the Verkhnechonskoye gas condensate field at the end of 2014, said Sergei Fedorov, CEO of Verkhnechonskneftegaz (which is part of Rosneft). “We are now building gas supply line,” he said. “All necessary equipment is being brought in during this navigation season; notably, a big compressor by GE is now at the river terminal in Ust-Kut. We will deliver it to the field within the next few days and start assembling. Simultaneously, we are drilling gas injection wells.” The company is also in talks with Gazprom on gas transportation for export via the Chayandinskoye field, Fedorov recalled.

MOSCOW. UVZ Logistics, 50% owned by railcar manufacturer Uralvagonzavod, has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire Zarechnaya coal company, Kommersant business daily reported. Zarechnaya, a coal miner based in the Kemerovo Region, is controlled by businessman Viktor Nusenkis. UVZ is also buying an equipment making plant, Yurginsky, also owned by the businessman, and its German subsidiary, Esser. Nusenkis will have a five-year option to buy back 25% of his business. The sides plan to finalise the deal in about six weeks, UVZ Logistics CEO Dmitry Yeremeyev said. They have not disclosed the amount of the deal or the sources of financing.
